LaToya Binns is the Founder and President of Kingston 20, Inc. Binns founded Kingston 20 in 2006. Binns who was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica decided to name her company after where she grew up. " I wanted the name to be something I was proud of so what else could I have named my company other than where I'm from." Kingston 20 women's tshirt line is a movement: It encourages women and girls to luv their bodies. Binns say, "Growing up and even now people would say to me, you're so tall, because I am 6'0" tall. I would usually respond, no! your just too short, lol. I never had a problem with my height, and never really thought about it. I was an athlete most of my life so my circle of peers were also tall, sometimes I was surprise when others would comment. I just wanted to create a line that focused on luving our bodies whether tall, short, plus size or slim.
